Tee To Green

Thoughts and photographs as I play and watch golf.

It’s finally March, but much of the Northeast is still covered in snow.  wonder how long it will take before we’re out playing golf again.

Here are a few of my favorite panoramas from a round of golf at Streamsong Resort’s Red course. The course was designed by golf architecture duo Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw.

I’m counting down the hours until 2014 and going back through all my photos from this year. My favorites are of the new golf courses I got to play - Laurel Valley, Oakmont and Maidstone. My favorites of the golf courses I played before - Stanwich, Bayonne and Bethpage Black. Cheers to another great year on the course!

Upper Montclair Country Club is a gorgeous place with three 9 holes. I played the West and South nines, which are both very fun and challenging given the plethora of bunkers and high rough around the greens.
The club originally had 18 holes designed by A.W. Tillinghast, but a course renovation by Robert Trent Jones Sr. extended the club to 27 holes.
My favorite bit of trivia about the club is that it has hosted PGA, LPGA, and Senior Tour events. Past winners include Hall of Famers Arnold Palmer, Pat Bradley, and Lorena Ochoa.
